From crystalline waters to deep coral reefs enlivened by myriads of fish, scuba diving in the Andaman Sea is irresistible for novices and experienced divers alike. Barefoot Scuba’s adept staff members go out of their way to make you comfortable and experience the best diving in India. You can do a scuba diving course, probably one of the coolest things you will have ever learnt, or if already certified, do fun diving.
As per the regulations in the Andamans, divers over 50 must get a medical clearance for scuba diving.
PADI OPEN WATER DIVER
The PADI Open Water Diver course will open the door to a world of possibilities for you in the aquatic realm. This course will teach you the fundamentals of scuba diving through a perfect mixture of theory, 5 sessions of confined water skills training, equipment orientation and troubleshooting techniques, and 4 open water dives. Anybody with a basic level of comfort in the water and basic swimming skills can sign up. A 10-minute float and 200-metre swim (or 300-metre snorkelling) tests will be conducted prior to certification.
If you wish to swiftly experience diving first, you can do the half-day PADI Discover Scuba Diving, which is also suitable for non-swimmers.
PADI DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
If you are short of time, you can complete the PADI Scuba Diver course in 2-3 days and upgrade to PADI Open Water Diver anytime later.

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER
Aimed at enhancing your skills and adding to the fun of scuba diving, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course involves 5 adventure dives, and a subset of it, the PADI Adventure Diver course, involves 3 adventure dives. From traversing the relatively deeper expanse of the sea to navigating around a dive site, during the day or at night, these courses will make you a finer and more knowledgeable scuba diver. At Barefoot Scuba, we have a wide range of options for you to choose your favourite adventure dives from, and you will also get to enjoy the best of scuba diving in Andaman.
PADI RESCUE DIVER
The PADI Rescue Diver course is perhaps the most challenging and equally satisfying of all PADI recreational scuba diving courses. You will learn how to anticipate and be prepared for complications that may arise in the water, help buddies in difficult situations, and become a more confident scuba diver yourself. One of the professionals at Barefoot Scuba will simulate a diver in need of help and the instructor will guide you through how best to act in a timely manner. While this course will stipulate your quick thinking and actions, it will most likely end with a lot of laughter.
PADI MASTER SCUBA DIVER
Only the most elite divers achieve the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, a testament to your experience in scuba diving. This is the highest rank you can earn as a recreational scuba diver and will indicate that you have a serious and often contagious thirst for adventure.
