Barefoot scuba is the best on Havelock!

We did our Advance Open Water here and we were totally happy and satisfied. After having dived at several locations across South East Asia, this was our first time in India. I did a very very detailed research before enrolling with Barefoot scuba. I'm so glad the decision was correct. They are very professional. They follow all the international safety standards and also have plenty of fun! If you want to do real diving...then Barefoot scuba should be your choice.

PADI Open Water Diver Course - excellent instructor & conditions

I'm a US expat living and working in India. I visited Havelock / Barefoot recently as a novice diver without any prior experience. I completed the PADI Open Water Diver Course over a 3-day period (having completed the theory work online before arriving). My instructor's name was Animish. All of the staff at Barefoot were extremely professional and everything was very well-organized. Animish was a great instructor - I felt very safe under his guidance, he always had answers to my questions, and he was a lot of fun to be around. As an added bonus, he was very knowledgeable about all of the marine life we saw (and Havelock has some great diving spots)! I highly recommend Barefoot for diving adventures at Havelock.

Dive Master Training

After lots of research, I decided to do my DMT at Barefoot Scuba and am so happy with my decision :D The team were all very approachable, supportive and determined to ensure the DMT programme is suitably paced in relation to the students progress. Barefoot scuba are genuinely interested in ensuring they generate reliable, competent and knowlegeable DMs into the industry. Because of their student centred approach, they are very understanding, supportive and flexibile with how long a DMT might need to complete the course. Shonali was my assigned mentor during my DMT and she was intuitively aware of my learning styles and tried to adapt her teaching to support me. She has a knack of knowing when to push a student just a little bit more so that they reach their fullest potential but she also knows when her student needs a little break because the pressure is getting to them. Completing my DMT was an achievement because it is a challenging but rewarding course and I am very glad I had the opportunity to do it at Barefoot Scuba. Barefoot Scuba run a tight ship, I would highly recommend family and friends do their courses/ dives with Barefoot because their equipment is well looked after and serviced regularly and staff are very passionate, knowledgeable and competent.

Professional and very helpful instructors for the must try activities on Havelock

Amazing to see so many young, well trained, helpful and extremely patient instructors. We interacted with Mia, Saili, Jobin, Sada, and Ravi and a big big thank you to all of them for making our trip a really memorable one. We tried Scuba diving (went down to 9 meters), deep sea snorkeling, and night kayaking with them. They explained the concepts, made us practice patiently and helped us during the activities. Really worth every penny. My young son went in for a second round of diving as he loved the first time and a lot of credit goes to the instructors. My sister and family and some friends tried diving in Thailand or Philippines and were not very happy with the experience. Main complaint was with rude instructors. Barefoot Scuba is a must for anyone wanting to do any activity on Havelock. They took our photos underwater as well as videos and copied them onto my mobile.

Fabulous Forty at Barefoot Scuba

Experiences like this aren't chosen, they happen as a blessing. I celebrated my 40th Birthday by gifting myself the Open Water Diving Course. I travelled solo but as soon as I arrived at the Barefoot Scuba Resort, I knew I was home. The warmth and welcome I received from every person I crossed paths with in my weeklong stay was endearing. However, it is the connect and synergy I felt with my amazing Dive Instructor Mia Raghavi, a fine-skilled diver, an extremely passionate teacher and a beautiful soul that deepened the entire process for me. Having been a Dance-instructor and Wellness-coach for 23 years, it was wonderful being on the other side as a student under the guidance of a soulful teacher. Barefoot Scuba is truly a 5 star PADI certified diving resort with A-class equipment, highly skilled and experienced instructors and a hospitable environment. My interactions with other divers and instructors made my stay even more enriching and I'm only hoping to be back home soon for my Advance Course.

OFISHally Awesome!

Underwater is surreal!! I was in awe of the entire experience! Doing my open water PADI course from Barefoot was the best decision ever because everyone there love what they do and they make sure you love it too! The whole team is super chill and fun and their stories will really hearten you. I trained under Avinash who is very swift and professional and helps you pick up skills really fast! He made sure I was safe, learnt all my theory well, was comfortable with my gear and that I accomplished everything in the course! Definitely going back sooner or later! Like Avinash says.. Keep making bubbles! :)

Most trustworthy dive Center on havelock! 100% recommend :)

I did an entire scuba review with Barefoot and did about 6 dives with them in total. Was a fantastic experience and you should definitely dive with Barefoot if you can find spots on their boats! Animish was an incredibly patient and thorough instructor and I felt very confident in the water and at ease after my dive review as I had not dived in a few years - they follow all safety protocols and make sure that you know what you’re doing and are well taken care of. The dive sites were fantastic and Animish and Sayali were super guides as well and made sure we saw everything on offer around havelock. Animish took special efforts to teach us about the flora and fauna we saw underwater- which most other instructors don’t always do. The rest of the folks and crew were also fantastic and the boats and cafe also deserve a special mention! Thanks team barefoot ?? I will be back soon and hope to find a room available at the resort also this time around ????

Treat to the eye

Barefoot Scuba were amazing and thankyou guys for making our trip a memorable one with a lifetime experience. I and my husband did Snorkelling and Scuba Diving and the way they took care care of us was just too good. Ravi, Sayali, Ashok, Vidyut and Avtar you guys are doing a fab job. Initially I was really upset that you did not allow me to do scuba diving because of my medical condition but am glad you took that decision and did not listen to me???? To the people who are reading this, please do not hide any medical issues with your scuba instructor as it is very important and puts your life at stake and their profession at risk . Once again thankyou Ravi and the entire team for giving us this mesmerising experience. I do not regret doing snorkelling instead of Scuba ???? Aditya (my husband) has had his lifetime experience with scuba witnessing a close view of coral and fishes which were a tear to the eye. He being a first timer went till his body could allow him and did not push his limits which would have turned out to be uncomfortable. Know your limits while trying Scuba and Snorkelling and be open and honest with your instructor making it a wonderful lifetime experience. Barefoot Scuba you guys rock????

Amazing Scuba Diving Experience!

I did my Open Water Diver course at Barefoot this summer and it was an amazing experience to say the least. Havelock island is one of the best locations to dive at in India and there's no better dive centre than Barefoot Scuba. All the instructors are super knowledgeable and properly uphold all the PADI standards. Besides being a great place to learn Scuba diving, Barefoot is also a great place to hangout and make friends. You'll find the most amazing people from around the globe with tonnes of amazing experiences to leave you awe inspired. Everyone at Barefoot is super chill and fun to hangout with. I had a bomb of time here and definitely will cherish the memories made in these 4 days.

Diver's Paradise

I've had the absolute time of my life, I fell in love with diving after receiving my open water certification with Barefoot Scuba. The instructors are wonderful and the place is like absolute paradise. Cheers to my instructor "Animish" and all others who helped me in my journey to become a certified diver. 10/10 I would most certainly go back to Barefoot to continue my diving education.
